# How to change witness name

The witness's name will be shown when produced a block

By default the witness address will be shown.

If you want to change the witness name, you can set the name by using [aixc-cli](https://developers.aixchain.com/build-node/super-representative/broken-reference)

Select set account name function and follow instruction.

Note: The account name (witness name) can not alter after set
